There are so many cards out there now with no annual fee and up to 5% cash-back on purchases. We put EVERYTHING on our cards since it costs us nothing, we pay the balance in full at the end of every month ALWAYS and we get 0-0 back in cash every year from the cards as rewards (they just send you a check) -- you just have to use the right card at resaurants (Costco AMEX 5% back on eating out, 3% on travel), gas / groceries (Chase Visa also 5% for these categories -- 1% on everything else...) and stop using a card once you hit the max annual reward -(about 0) to get the %s back on the other cards.

So I'm sick of people rolling their eyes when I use a credit-card at Starbuck's or the grocery store... get with it people, you are throwing away hundreds of dollars as you spend on little everyday things without realizing it!!

If you can control your spending and stick with a budget even though the cards allow more, then you need to find these cards & PAY THEM OFF every month!!

The problem is most people don’t pay them off. Not everyone has their finances down pat like yours. Ignore them and move on.

i think that you are a rare breed, able to pay off the card every month. for most people, it is not that simple, either they choose not to pay off the card, or they simply forget, and that gets them into trouble. though i am glad that you are able to do that…it is smart if you have the control.

I don’t know where you shop but I use my debit or credit cards almost everywhere I shop. I don’t carry any cash with me. I use a mileage card myself and have earned 1-1/2 flights already with stuff that I was going to purchase anyway.

With the price of Starbucks you practically have to finance a cup of coffee anyway!

Don’t be so sensitive about it… just keep on using it.

i’m not really big with the cash back credit cards.. i still don’t think the rewards are worth it.. they’re basically luring you in into SPENDING money with their card over and over in order to get those rewards.. when the best reward is NOT SPENDING money at all!

kudos to you though.. if you pay off your cc every month (like everyone should do).. and use it for everyday purposes.. then those rewards are worth it

i basically only use my cc’s now for internet buys or emergencies

i still believe in using my debit card instead.. because i’m only spending money i have
